What is a free discovery call?
How do I find the right coach for me?
You can browse through our ever growing list of coaches. Each coach’s profile includes their experience, specialities, and minimum hourly rate to help you make an informed decision. Additionally, you can favourite coaches to compare them and decide who to book a discovery call with.
How many free discovery calls can I book?
Where are discovery calls held?
Discovery calls are usually held online via platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or another video conferencing tool agreed upon by you and the coach. The details will be provided by the coach once your booking is confirmed. Phone calls are also an option if you do not wish to do a video call.
What if I’m not satisfied with the coach I booked?
If you’re not satisfied with your initial discovery call, you are free to book additional discovery calls with other coaches until you find the right match. Our goal is to help you find the perfect coach for your needs. Coach reviews are coming soon which will give you the chance to provide any feedback you might have.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule your discovery call. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice to the coach to respect their time. Instructions for cancelling or rescheduling will be included in your booking confirmation.
What if a coach tries to charge me for the discovery call?
Discovery calls booked through Coachy are always free for potential clients. If a coach attempts to charge you, please report it to us immediately, and we will address the situation. Our platform ensures that coaches cannot charge for these calls and it is part of the coach’s Ts&Cs that the discovery call will be free to you. Any breach of this should be reported to us immediately.

What should I prepare for the discovery call?
What if I need to reschedule last minute?
If you need to reschedule, we recommend reaching out to the coach directly to inform them. While we encourage as much notice as possible, we understand that emergencies happen. Communication is key to ensuring a good relationship with the coach. The coach should offer a new date and time for the discovery call.

Can I get a refund for a cancellation or no-show?
No, refunds are not provided for cancellations or no-shows. However, you can reschedule the call directly with the person, as you will have their contact details. We encourage coaches to confirm appointments and follow up to minimize cancellations.
How do I manage my availability?
What happens if I miss a scheduled call?
If you miss a scheduled discovery call, we recommend contacting the person as soon as possible to apologize and offer to reschedule at a convenient time for them. Maintaining clear communication helps preserve your reputation and ensures a positive experience for all.
